PENERAPAN AUTENTIFIKASI KEAMANAN SISTEM INFORMASI PENDAFTARAN RAWAT JALAN DI PUSKESMAS MOJOLANGU

Information systems play a role in processing healthcare data and information, including patient medical records, disease data, and public health data. Information systems can improve the quality of health facility services in various aspects, such as administration, law, finance, documentation, research, and education. Security ensures that only people who have authority over the information can access it. The method used in this study is a qualitative one. The study's findings stem from the implementation of security authentication in the outpatient registration information system at the Mojolangu Health Centre. The type of authentication used at the Mojolangu Health Centre is a username and password, which can access the data, the admin, and other users. The existence of authentication security has helped make it easier for medical record officers to store patient data. Users need to go through an authentication process every time they access data; when an unauthorised party accesses the application, they do not immediately log in to the homepage. The implementation of this authentication has helped improve the efficiency of the patient data storage process, and work productivity has improved. Suggestions were given to the Mojolangu Health Centre. The Mojolangu Health Centre should improve staff education and training to understand the importance of data security and the protocols that must be followed when accessing the E-Health Centre or SIMPUS application. The health centre should collaborate with cybersecurity experts to conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and provide the best recommendations for strengthening the security system.
