Abstract
Medical records are important papers that have private details about a patient's name, health problems, what treatments they received, and their past medical experiences. Because of this, it's very important to keep these records safe and private, especially in the part of the hospital where they are stored when they are not being used. This study looks at how the hospital in Malang, called Wava Husada Hospital, keeps medical records secure and private in their inactive storage area. It also checks how well these measures are working based on what the people in charge think. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method, and the data is collected by talking to three people: the head of the medical records department and two other staff members who work with medical records. The study found that the hospital has set up rules to control who can access the medical records, and only those with permission can view them. The storage room has physical security like fingerprint locks, regular doors, and air conditioning. But the surveillance with CCTV is not very good because the cameras are only in the hallway outside the room, not inside. There is no automatic fire sprinkler system yet, and the staff hasn't had regular training on how to handle medical records securely. Despite these issues, the hospital has never had a case where medical records were leaked or accessed without permission. The security and privacy system for medical records at Wava Husada Hospital is seen as mostly good, but it can be better. There is a need to improve visual monitoring, provide training for staff, and strengthen the technology used to manage medical records more safely and effectively.
